In 1999 Impact Databank ranked PRESIDENTIAL as one of the ten leading Imported brands of Port in the U.S. The brand has won several international awards and has enjoyed glowing reviews by well known wine writers.
Fourth Anniversary Issue of Sante Magazine - Holiday 2000 on PRESIDENTIAL Vintage 1997: "Intense and elegant aromas of spring flowers. Well integrated and luscious fruit flavors; long, pleasing finish. One of the best!"
Jerry D. Meade on PRESIDENTIAL 30 Year Old Tawny: "This is the wine! This is what Aged Tawny is all about. This is the Aged Port for a special occasion or the end to that special dinner party. Very old, very complex bouquet and flavor. Very nutty and with a little caramel still. The wood character is just perfect. --- Rated 94."
Dick Rosano on PRESIDENTIAL 20 Year Old Tawny: "Caramel, nuts and oak meet the nose, followed by dried cherries on a full-bodied, full-textured Port. There's almost the taste of late harvest apples on the finish. ---Rated 92."

RUBY... Classic deep ruby color. This delicious dessert wine combines youthful fruitiness with a surprisingly soft complex style rarely found in younger Portos.

TAWNY... A supple, fruity, style of Tawny. It combines velvety sweet nut and fruit flavors with good balance and a long pleasant finish.

WHITE... In Portugal this plump juicy White Port is served on the rocks with a twist, or just well chilled. Rich, plummy-vanilla flavors with a flash of sweetness make this wine a delicious aperitif.

Cheese and nuts, the classic accompaniment to Port, can serve both as an appetizer or a dessert. Stilton, Gorgonzola and the Portuguese cheeses St Jorge and Serpa are wonderful with the whole family of full-bodied fruity Ports. Creamy cheeses such as Brie, Camembert and Brillat-Savarin from France, Edam from Holland, Bel Paese and Moscarpone from Italy, as well as the Portuguese cheeses Serra, Azeitao, and Castelo Branco are all fabulous with Tawnies. The whole range of nuts also helps bring out the best in port. White Port becomes and exilir with almonds sauteed in olive oil. Chestnuts, Cashews, and Hazelnuts with their sweet, rich texture go well with fruity Port. Dense types such as walnuts and Brazil nuts fit Aged Tawnies like a glove. Naturally, Ports are a delicious accompaniment to many desserts such as tarts, pies, cakes, ice creams and sorbets, and all types of melons and berries.
